Temple Etiquette and Community Guidelines
Below is information about the temple and a few guidelines we ask you to follow to help us maintain an open, sacred, and respectful environment:
Seva Opportunities
Seva to Maharajji is a great blessing and a privilege. Karma Yoga, or “work as worship”, along with Bhakti Yoga, chanting and devotional practices, is our primary form of spiritual practice here at the ashram. There are many ways to serve at the ashram-from growing food to cooking it. We also welcome people with skills in carpentry, natural building, music, fine arts, retail, clerical and office work, computer skills and those with a love for cleaning, beautifying and organizing.
Staying at the Dharamsala
We have two guest rooms available for pilgrims wishing to visit the ashram and stay overnight. Stays are limited to three nights and dependent upon availability. Please call or email ahead as space is limited. For more information and availability click below.
Sri Maharaji’s Kitchen
If you would like to volunteer time to help in the kitchen with cooking, dishes or special projects like canning and chutney making or if you would like to make a special prasad offering to Maharajji and Hanuman Ji, please read the information below and inquire in the kitchen.
Permaculture Farm
The farm is an integral part of the ashram’s mission to feed people with fresh, organic food grown with love on Baba’s land. In addition to the various farm projects, sevaks will have the opportunity to help in the preparation of meals-experiencing the satisfaction of seeing food from seed to table.
“Puja means ‘worship.’ Puja is a ritual used to call upon God.”
